On Friday 8th November 2019, G&C Mutual Bank proudly supported the Brent Londrigan Charity Golf Day by providing a delicious BBQ lunch for over 140 hungry golfers and event helpers.

Hosted by the Kariong Correctional Centre at Shelly Beach Golf Club, the event raised $10,000 for Gosford Hospital's Children’s Ward. The money raised will be used to purchase a cardiotocography (CTG) machine, which monitors any variations in an unborn baby’s heart rate.

Teams competed in an Ambrose format (four players) and the day’s golf was followed by an awards ceremony at the clubhouse. Local businesses ‘sponsored a hole’ and donated a variety of items for the fundraising auction, which was held in the evening at the clubhouse.

This event is especially close to the Kariong Correctional Centre team’s hearts as it’s held in memory of Officer Greg Londrigan’s son, Brent, who tragically died in a Doyalson house fire in 2004.

The Brent Londrigan Charity Golf Day is now an annual event, which G&C Mutual Bank is looking forward to supporting next year.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this successful fundraising event.
