Important Notice for Quay Members
Updated 30 September 2016
Welcome to G&C Mutual Bank
We were very pleased to welcome Quay members to G&C Mutual Bank on 1 September 2016.
We appreciate the support and loyalty of Quay members throughout this process. As we continue to integrate both organisations, we would like to assure you that we remain committed to putting members at the forefront of our decisions and will minimise any disruptions to members during the transition.
The next step in this integration process will be the merging of the banking systems for both organisations. This integration will take place on 7 October 2016. As a result of this integration there are some necessary changes that you need to be aware of.
In order to avoid duplicating member numbers and to enable us to preserve the current terms and conditions for Quay members, a prefix will need to be added to your current member number.
From 8 October 2016 all Quay members will move to a 7 digit member number commencing with a 3.
| Your current membership number
|| Your new membership number
Please make note of this change as you will need to use your new membership number from 8 October 2016 to be able to perform your day to day banking transactions.
Account Reference Number
Similar to member numbers, a change to your 9 digit account reference numbers is also required to avoid duplications within the merged database. This change will be minimal and will only require the first digit to change from 1 to 3. This will take effect after the systems are integrated on 8 October 2016.
Please note: All existing direct debit and direct credit payments currently set up on your Quay member number will automatically be redirected to your new Quay Mutual Bank prefix member number. As a result, you will not need to contact existing suppliers/payers to notify them of any changes.
However, when setting up new direct debit and credits after the systems are integrated on 7 October, you will need to provide suppliers with your new member number and/or 9 digit account reference numbers to avoid any delays in processing or receiving transactions.
From 8 October 2016 Quay and G&C Mutual Bank members will log into Online Banking from the same log in button on the home page of the website.
How to change your access code
1. Log into your Online Banking Service. Select ‘More Services’ from the drop down menu in Online Banking. Then select ‘Change Access Code'.
2. You will then see the page below. Type in your current password in the box next to ‘Access Code’. Then type in your new password which must be in all caps in the box next to ‘New Access Code’. Then verify your password in the box next to ‘Verify New Access Code’.
3. Then click the ‘Save’ button and your new password is ready to use.
New look and feel
Once the system integration is completed on 8 October 2016, an upgraded version of Online Banking with a new look and feel will be available. You will notice some small changes.
1. You will no longer need to enter CAPTCHA text to log into Online Banking.
2. Once you have logged into the home screen you will notice some slight changes to the menu structure to make it easier to navigate.
During the system integration process there will be a disruption to services between 3.00pm Friday on
7 October 2016 - 12.00pm Saturday 8 October 2016. As a result you will not be able to access any of your accounts via:
- Online and Mobile Banking
- Quay Banking App
- Phone Banking
- Staff assisted transactions through the contact centre
During this time, you will be able to make limited purchases and ATM withdrawals. To minimise any disruption we advise you make any necessary purchases, pay any bills and withdraw any cash that you may need during this period prior to this service disruption.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us on 1300 364 400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
