Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) 13-19May 2018
13 May 2018
Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is an annual initiative of the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities forum. It is held every year to promote and raise awareness of privacy issues and the importance of protecting personal information.
This year's theme is ‘Privacy: From principles to practice’ and 2018 also marks 30 years of the Privacy Act 1988. Since then, there have been remarkable changes in the way personal information is put to use across the world.
PAW is an opportunity for all individuals to review how they manage their personal information, and to understand potential privacy risks and how to reduce them.
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner has developed ten tips to protect your privacy.
